Our breeding program is based on Hanoverian mares and the dressage stallions used are either imported to Australia or are stationed in Germany.

They must have a proven performance record themselves plus proven performance progeny.

Sire:  Prince Noir (imp) by Prince Thatch xx

Dam: Remi Galliano by Graf Landau (imp)/Winterkoenig (imp)

Pinot Noir was our original foundation mare and was the first foal born in Australia by the super imported sire Prince Noir (imp), son of Prince Thatch xx.

Pinot had an illustrious show career, with multiple wins as a yearling including Supreme Champion at the AWHA (Qld) Gala Day in 2001 and also winning at the Hanoverian Mare Show the same year.  As a 3 year old, Pinot was put in foal to the exciting dressage stallion Don Cavallo (Ger), a son of Donnerhall/Weltmeyer  which she produced in 2004. She then completed her Hanoverian mare Performance Test with a foal at foot and was the best jumping horse at the Test, scoring 8 for both her scope and technique in jumping. With this result she was awarded her Elite Mare Status.

Pinot not only had outstanding conformation and looks (all the bling), she had a faultless no nonsense temperament which she passed on to her progeny.   She is greatly missed.

Her foals include:

  • Remi Double Jeopardy (by Don Cavallo (Ger).
  • Remi Lambrusco by Lauries As (imp) retained by Remi Stud
  • Artes Lauries Gift a lovely young gelding by Lauries As (imp).
  • Artes Donna Frieda a spectacular filly by Don Frederico (Ger).

Hanoverian Mare - S.I. Grace

Sire:  Graf Landau (imp)

Dam: Ottoman Belle xx

SOLD Grace was bred by Chris Hector of Sporthorse Internatonal fame (hence the S.I. prefix) and her sire Graf Landau needs no introduction, being one of the strongest  Hanoverian influences in Australian Warmblood breeding. He is renowned for his jumping ability which is passed on to his progeny.  His grandsire is the immortal Gotthard arguably the foundation sire of the modern Warmblood.

Grace received 8’s for type and conformation at her Hanoverian classification plus a 9 for her head.  She is a very attractive forward moving mare and this is passed on to her foals.

Her progeny include a filly and a colt by Wyndemere (Wolkenstein II) and the stunning filly Roxleigh Wilhelmina by Welfenadel (imp/exp).

She has also produced Artes Fliegende a terrific bay gelding by Fisherman’s Friend (imp) (sold) and Artes Roxanne a beautiful grey filly by Rotspon (Ger).

She is now at Jaybee Farm in Queensland and in foal to Jaybee Alabaster.

Stallion Rotspon

Hanoverian Mare - Sandro-D (imp).

We were fortunate to lease this mare for the 2013 breeding season.  She is by Sandro Hit out of a Rubinstein/Weltmeyer mare and was imported from Germany by Dianna Zammit of Rothbury Park Arabians.  Sandy is a full sister to the brilliant stallion San Jose (imp. dec) which was owned and campaigned by Matthew Dowsley and is also the dam of the very successful young dressage stallion Don De Sandro.  Sandy has produced the most stunning colt by De Niro in December 2013 who is for sale.

Hanoverian Filly - Artes Donna Frieda  (3 November 2012)

Sire: Don Frederico (Ger).

Dam: EM Remi Pinot Noir

SOLD  Artes Donna Frieda by Don Frederico (Ger) out of EM Remi Pinot Noir (Dec).  This is the last foal of Pinot. Frieda is the most spectacular true black, leggy filly who was orphaned at 5 weeks.  Despite this she has never lost focus and knows that she is a horse not a person. She is an absolutely stunning stand out and has been sold to a competition home in Canberra. We cannot wait to see her as a three year old.
